A clear pathway from concern to practical support.
The three-stage EarlyBridge model is designed to help families understand what happens next, what support can start now and how progress can be documented while formal assessment continues.
Calm, practical and centred around the child.
EarlyBridge is designed to make the process easier to understand for families and settings. Sessions focus on age-appropriate activities, clear communication and practical next steps that can fit into everyday routines.
The aim is to give parents greater clarity and help early-years settings respond more consistently while formal pathways continue in parallel.
EarlyBridge works alongside existing professional and statutory pathways rather than replacing formal assessment, diagnosis or specialist services.
Screen
A one-off, practitioner-led developmental screening across key early-years domains. The purpose is to identify areas that may benefit from support and to inform practical next steps — not to make a diagnosis.
Timing: a focused one-off screening appointment, with the exact format agreed during the initial enquiry.
Parents can expect: a structured discussion, age-appropriate observation/screening and a clear explanation of the next step.
Support
A Montessori-informed early-intervention programme built around the child's individual screening results and delivered in the home and/or nursery setting.
Timing: an 8–12 week support block.
Parents/settings can expect: practical activities, consistent strategies and agreed areas to review.
Bridge
Progress is tracked over the support period and shared with parents. With appropriate consent, relevant information may also be shared with health visitors, GPs and nursery SENCOs to strengthen the family's eventual formal assessment record.
Timing: ongoing alongside the intervention and reviewed at agreed points.
Important: EarlyBridge complements formal routes; it does not replace diagnosis or statutory EHC assessment.
A low-friction start.
1. Enquiry
A parent, carer or setting sends a short enquiry with the child's age and a brief description of the concern.
2. Suitability conversation
The service scope is explained, including what EarlyBridge can support and what should be referred elsewhere.
3. Agree next step
If appropriate, screening is arranged and consent/data-handling expectations are explained clearly.
